Injured Party?

One of my co-workers returned to work last week...the first time since she left in November.  She is an older gal who has some medical problems.  She has been off work since she was unable to walk.  She can walk now but with a walker.  In order to get the full effect of this story you must know that this person is only in her late-50's but looks to be in her 80's.  

Apparently yesterday afternoon while I was off at the doctors there was a meeting with our new phone system people from corporate.  They saw the coworker walking with her walker and said to a fellow secretary, "That person really was injured in her auto accident, huh?"  They thought my co-worker was an injured party.  Needless to say, they were more than shocked when the secretary advised, "No, she isn't an injured party she is part of our staff."

Maybe you have to know these people, but I thought this was the funny thing ever!!  LOL  How bad must our "staff" be that people mistake them for accident victims?!?

    Now that is hilarious! Those corporate people probably thought they found the elusive unicorn - a REAL injured person in an auto accident. Nope, that's just a secretary that slipped in her driveway.
