After working my new Monday schedule, I raced to the meat market to get supplies for my lunch to help me stay on track with WWs and my sugar numbers. As I stood at the deli counter I hear some man ask, "Have you eaten dinner yet?" I assumed he was talking to someone else as I was not looking in his direction. By the third time of him asking the same question I looked in his direction and realized he was talking to me! I let him ask a fourth time to make sure and then I confirmed with a question of my own, "Are you talking to me?" He looked at me like I was asking him if he was speaking Russian and then he answered affirmatively, so I responded with an astounded negative. He then asked if I wanted a cooked chicken, for free. Absolutely!! So I left the store with my carrots, lunch meat, syrup and a free broasted chicken. :) Of course dinner was already done at home, but there is always tomorrow!
Just getting started: 5, 20, 21, 24, 26, 40, 41, 42

ReplyDeleteThank you ladies! I was very happy and surprised. The chicken was a little dry, but add some gravy and it is one less meal I have to pay for! LOL
ReplyDeleteSo strange for a man to just give you a chicken. But, hell, I wouldn't have passed it up either!
ReplyDeleteYes it was strange Dani, but I'm glad I took it! LOL...I'm all about free these days! Okay, I've always been about free, but you know what I mean! ;)
